Anyone been?

Thinking of going next week whilst we are in London for the day. I see that tickets in advance are £5 each, but can you walk up on the day and pay for entry rather than booking ahead?

It's OK. Not dreadful, not brilliant, somewhere in between.

If you don't pre-book, you risk it being full when you want to go. Midweek next week will probably be ok. You might need to buy tickets on your phone just before you go.

Food is mediocre, drinks are overpriced.
There are some massive funfair rides that are pretty close to those in a theme park. Whether or not you trust something like that is another matter.
There are stage shows that are quite fun.
You do need to be in full Xmas mode to enjoy it.

We went last year and enjoyed it. We're 50/50 on whether or not to go back this year.

Been once and felt the prices charged overshadowed the experience. Nothing there made me want to go again.

Went to one in Berlin and found that whilst still expensive, it was better. Was worth it just for this:

Great fun. Would definitely go again.
