Good and economic servicing / repair in the South?

The warranty on my Griff has now expired, which I bought from Fernies over a year ago. As such, I'm now at liberty to get the car serviced / repaired anywhere. Can anyone recommend a decent independent garage / individual in the South of England (Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, ish)? My last service (plus two tyres) cost me nearly £900, which I thought was a little steep.

Dave Batty 01483 811995, "The Garage" at Jackson's Corner on the A3 just south of Guildford. Recommended by many on here. Although he has a PH handle he doesn't post on here. Previously owned a Griff himself, and looked after mine for three and a half years, now runs a Tuscan and looks after mine, and many others'.

Brilliant man for servicing anything with a TVR badge. I've just booked in for mid October for the Tuscan.

Personally I'd stick with Fernies.

Andy at APM would be nearer for you. Near Liphook off the A3. Very good reputation.

What a really nice bloke - just spoke to him and he's going to sort out a slight niggle for about one third the cost I've been quoted elsewhere! He couldn't do enough for me on the phone!
