Eliminate all connection between MiB3 infotainment and iphon
Discussion
I want to ensure that the car (2022 T-Roc R,) has no connection to the iPhone 11 via the MiB3 Infotainment system when we are in the car apart from the usb power lead from the socket under the dash.
I have done the following so far ....
menu-settings-manage mobile devices-all deleted, the car does not recognise any mobile phone plus Bluetooth box unchecked, not active.
menu-telephone-Bluetooth is OFF.
Is there anything else within the infotainment MiB3 system that has a mobile phone link or is it just these two connections ?
If anyone knows ????
Thanks
Brian.
Sorted.
It was a very helpful localish (Kettering) main dealer that gave me the answer. When the usb lead is connected to the socket under the dash besides being a power source it also connects to the infotainment system. The solution was to plug the usb lead into the socket below the central armrest that faces the rear seat, this is a power source only ! It was a simple as that ..... but only if you know !!!!! Cheers. Brian.
Why ?
Because when we tried Waze on the infotainment screen I didn't like it, preferred the VW satnav. Then found that when we used Waze hand held phone with the usb power connected we lost all sound, picture only. Answer/reason as above but I didn't realise that, hence the question.
