Never been this far up the M6 in an EV but if Im heading north am I right in thinking that the Todhill Tesla superchargers are open to non Tesla EVs and are only accessible from the southbound carriageway?

If so how far north past them do I have to go to be able to turn around to head back to the chargers on the southbound?

Also how far south do I have to travel after charging to be able to get back on the northbound to continue my journey north?

Or is Tesla Gretna Outlet Village a better bet for a Volvo EV?

Can't help with the Gretna chargers as I've no idea, but starting and finishing on the north bound carriageway opposite the chargers shows an additional 18 minute and 12.3 mile round trip:

Could plan with ABRP (subscription to use carplay) and it will work it out. Live charger availability if car compatible (enode, works great on my Skoda Enyaq)
My ABRP nav is set to only look for Tesla ones, rarely public charge but it works very well.
If the nav shows the Supercharger, it is available to all (as does the Tesla app if you don’t have a Tesla on the account)
Gretna is available to all.

If headed N Gretna is 5 mins or a little more from Todhills. Todhills is in a desolate gap between Carlisle and Gretna. Has nothing good about it and I'm sure will cost an arm and leg if proper fuel is anything to go by

There's an Asda at Kingstown Carlisle plus McD, Greggs etc etc that's another option. 10 mins before Todhills

I used them around two months ago; loads available and quick, which was a stark difference from the Superchargers at Trentham, where we had to wait for a free one.

Don't trust the app 100%. There should have been three available chargers at Trentham, but they were taken up by EVs and ICE that were not plugged in.
