Cdr 30 wiring harness

Hi sure this has come up before. I have bought an after market car player. The fitting it comes with does not work. I have been reading and it seems a bit tricky to resolve.i have a quadlock and the stereo came with iso. I tried tapping into the live and neutral to see if I could get it to power up and nothing!

Tempted to go to Halfords and see if I can make one if there work. Does anyone know why it wont power up CANBUS related?

I am happy to rewire just not convinced I can without direction.

Connect2 do a conversion loo. So you don't ruin the original loom. Only issue is that there is no switched live as it uses the canbus. Again there are adapters that can use the canbus to provide switched live, reverse and lights on.

Thank you I can run a live from fuse board . Do you know which one on connect 2 been looking everywhere!

Thank you will have a look Interestingly I have been trying to connect up today. Got it to power on and connected one of the speaker wires, got static step forward.

Tried to get the Ariel to power up. I now get a ticking noise from the centre console, not the stereo for about 10 seconds sounds like a clock. l then I then hear two clicks outside the car underneath just after the ticking inside stops. Sounds like under the engine area. Any ideas what this new issue maybe. It only started when it tried to get power to the antenna.
Could it be a relay of some sort?
