What's this?(identify random piece of car Christmas quiz...)

Apparently this was found dragging along the ground underneath my daughter's Yaris the other day making one hell of a racket. She managed to pull over & remove it as it was not attached to anything and the car runs fine, but it makes me wonder, was this originally part of her car or did she just drive over it?

Looks like the heat shield from above the exhaust at the back.

Car should run fine, but might boil the shopping in the boot.

Well, you tell us. Lift the bonnet on your daughter's car and see if you can see where it should be.

They're remarkably difficult to get off. It would be worth checking it wasn't from another vehicle and she's just caught it.

If it is hers, I'd be tempted to try and get it back on.
