I have decided it is time I want to go from an Audi TT to an estate car but I'm not too sure what to get.

I commute about 50 miles a day so would like around 30-35 mpg and I don't want something that already has loads of miles on it (120k+). Something that pulls well and sounds decent if that is possible.

Any suggestions?

TIA

Octavia VRS is an obvious contender.

I bought a manual 2006 BMW 325i Touring for just under £3K in 2018 that I really liked. It had done 132K miles but had full Main Dealer SH.

I only kept it a year because I realised I didn't really need an estate car, so I replaced it with a lower mileage 330i Saloon! I had stopped working before I got them so didn't commute, but both averaged over 30mpg during my ownership.

A 325i or 330i Touring would be quicker and IMHO more fun than the Volvo, although they seem quite tricky to find now.

Or maybe a C Class estate?

Agree, but hard work to break 30mpg I'd suggest.
