Good: I'm off to Florida (again ?) for two weeks of sun, sand, and cheap petrol. And it's my birthday next Monday
, so I might get my leg over too
Bad: Flight is 09:30 tomorrow morning, so I miss BT&P, which is a real shame as no doubt I would have been plastered buying people drinks and getting bought drinks.
So have a great time everyone, I'll be thinking of you.
See you all in a fortnight.
All the best,
Greg(E240)

If you're headed to Central Florida (Land O Mickey), here is some info that may help your plans:
Weather: Got down to a chilly 75 degrees F last night, about 85-90 during the day. We are getting intermittant showers (lasting about 5 - 10 minutes) due to the cold snap
Attractions: Epcot just started it's annual food and wine samplefest (not to be missed, walk around the world and get smashed). The parks aren't too busy this time of year so it should be not that crowded (attendance doesn't pick up until the "Thanksgiving break" around the weekend of the 22nd, 23rd November)
No hot car shows that I am aware of - sorry. You may want to ride the GM "test track" at Epcot or get some lap time in a NASCAR at the Disney speedway via the "Richard Petty driving experience"...
WARNING: If you rent a car, the Florida Highway Patrol has recently received a load of Chevy Camaros with EXTREMELY small lights. These cars look like any other teenager's sports car behind you until the blues come on. It is still ok to exceed limits by about 5mph, they ususally don't pull you until about 10mph over.
Good luck. Have fun. Leave the jackets and sweaters at home so that you can haul home more loot.

PS: Don't forget to tip the waitresses as they only make $ 2 an hour

I remeber being there a few years back for the Daytona 500 (Feb or March?) and it rained one day, very hard, whilst we were at the Hotel but was still IMO nice & warm.
You could immediately distinguish us Brits from the locals - we were still in the pool, whilst they were sporting big puffa jackets!
Anyway, with another weekend of impending storms, Mr E240 has picked a good time to escape. Enjoy!
