Replacement indicator stalks

Hi guys,

Has anyone replaced the Vauxhall column swicthes with some nice shiney TVR ones? If so, was it very difficult? And any pics?

I got the alloy stalks from Hangar111 - The Lotus sport items. Had to take the old ones out, cut them off and attach the new ones which are secured with a combination of araldite and a grub screw.

Took about 1.5 hours in all mostly just checking the alignment etc before committing with the glue etc.

Well worth it though cos they look alot better than the standard ones and match the rest of the interior well.

Cool. Sounds like a good idea then. I was thinking of getting some replacement Vaux items from a breakers and modifying them and then swapping straight over (it's the GFs car and she'd kill me if I screwed it up!!!). So, anyone know what Vaux they are off?

Yes - and its really easy. Sorry no pics unfortunately. Just peeled back the rubber gaiters, sawed off the Vauxhall OEM stalks with a hacksaw blade leaving a small stump to attach the new alloy stalks using the gripping allen key screws and replaced the rubber gaiters - looks much better :-)

The stalks are pretty crappy! They're standard Vauxhall items, I had them on my Corsa and Vectra, so really won't be a problem getting hold of some to mod.
