Wonder how this thread will go
Bingo card:
‘Religion of peace’
‘Too early to say’
‘Gammon’
‘Born in the country’
‘Mental health’
‘My grandfather was German and he fought in 2 world wars against this’

Was at Bath xmas market last week. Noticed they had special trolley things on roads leading into the market area to prevent something like this. I guess someone somewhere may have been aware this was still a possibility.
Awful what people will do in the name of religion or politics.
There were blocks/bollards to prevent car access but he was going so fast he just blasted through it. Unfortunately this will be far more than 1 dead.Awful what people will do in the name of religion or politics.
Police saying they’re now looking into the possibility of there being an explosive device in the car too.

Bild.de reporting Saudi national and 11 dead.
I go to Germany several times a year and have done for many years for work and the mood has definitely changed over there.A once welcoming people are openly saying things that would have seemed unthinkable only a few years ago, I've personally witnessed two rants that would make your hair curl from good friends.
This will only add to that.

Unfortunately that's exactly what these attacks are intended to do. A once welcoming people are openly saying things that would have seemed unthinkable only a few years ago, I've personally witnessed two rants that would make your hair curl from good friends.

Reporting now that the "suspect" was a doctor. A fu**ing doctor!!!! Unbelievable.
Footage of the incident is on Twitter. It's grim. I actually think this could have been a LOT worse. The car travels at speed down one of the aisles between the stalls but is over to the left so pushed a lot of the victims into the middle so looks more survivable. If he had gone down the middle it would have been much worse.

We went to Keynsham market a few weeks ago and I was surprised/depressed to see them there as well. Obviously it's much better than this grim alternative situation though but it's certainly a sad sign of the times when massive anti-vehicle barriers are needed for a feel good local Christmas market.Awful what people will do in the name of religion or politics.
Really sad news and it seems likely there'll be more deaths Horrible, terrifying and life changing for anyone who was there really.
