Contemplating one of these.
I used to use a very old tefal pan that lost it's nonstick (i'd make sure to oil/season it, and heat it up well so its not stick). but that's destroyed now.

I'm looking on amazon and all the griddle pans look the same, reversable heavy, small handles that are flat on the sides.
Checked out a video of ATK reviewing various ones and some have handles that are lifted up from the surface which seems better.

Usage is high heat cooking. Smash burgers, steak, stir frying noodles, weekend fry up. Either something that is extra large (32cm+) and round for the biggest stove. Or a big and wide rectangular one that can fit across 2 gas stoves.

I don't need grill lines on it, just after something flat.

We've got a Garden Trading one and it's pretty good for steaks, etc. without being precious about looking after it. Even better than the Le Creuset one with ridges that we had before.

possibly.. but I don't want to spend £147!!! knock £100 off that in terms of budget. For comparison a 32cm frying pan ranges from £20-30...

You'll get nothing of quality for 20/30 quid , buy cheap buy twice . I was after a 3" deep saute pan a few weeks back and found the ideal one in store and on sale $426CDN so maybe 230 pounds , I didn't buy it because I didn't need one that much but quality cookware costs if you want it to last .

We've got an earlier version of one of these & it's good. Reversible, with a flat side & a ridged side: https://www.procook.co.uk/product/newprocook-rever...
