Just outside our village is what I've always thought looked like an an abandoned petrol station. There's usually a selection of old 4X4s there in various states of disrepair.
But just lately there is what appears to be an MGBGT with several external modifications.

The rest light are much more upright than a normal B and instead of being one-piece units are made up of 3 separate ones.
It's more difficult to see the front but at the brief glance I've had of it it appears that the indicators and side-lights have been faired in but protrude at the same time. Hard to explain really
It has silver 2 tone paint.
It certainly looks professionally done and is reminiscent of the kind of thing that was done in the 60s and 70s.
Anyone got any ideas of what it might be?
If you're in. North Devon it's on the road from Land cross to Bradworthy between the two junctions to parkham.

Without any photos it’s difficult to tell, but there were any number of Sebring style specials made over the years. Perhaps it is one of them?

Didn't they retain the normal B bits but with covered headlights and big arches?
This is more pretty than the Sebring which has a race car look about it.

No. Apart from the lights and the paint scheme it looks more standard B than that pic

It's really just like B but with different rear lights including the more upright fittings and the modified front.

Don't be silly. I'm pretty sure it's this

and it's based on a Sunbeam Alpine.

Could it be a Coune MGB conversion maybe?

These 2 both turned up at a meet at a local pub 6 years ago.

Do try to keep up, Mr T. That idea was quashed at 18.22 this evening.

We've just been for a drive past it.
It has a huge ungainly Zagato emblem on the side. It's RHD but has a Monaco registration plate beside its 3 and 3 UK plate.
My wife took a couple of pics and I'll try to get them up later.

That's a standard bgt. Some custom modification to the rear light pod area.

If you look carefully you can see the upright rear lights and the faired in front indicator and light.
Also the Zagato badge is clear.
I have a pic of the back but that shows the number plate.
It's currently taxed and mot'd and registered as an MG.
