We are off to Spain in early January for our annual 2 month trip. Aside from that we have 3 weeks booked in June in Cornwall and Dorset and we'll be away in September in the Italian Lakes. There will be other trips across every month but nothing booked as we are looking to move house next year.

What plans do you have?

Not really thought that much about 2025. I intend to head over to France again for a month, maybe in June /July which would be earlier than I did it this year (September/October).

We are off for 4 nights to Mazarron for the New Year, in the motorhome. Then planning our 2 month trip around the Adriatic, May/June. Should get quite a few trips out in 2025.

Setting off late January in the Motorhome for Morocco / Western Sahara / Mauritania but have to swing by southern Germany on the way. No real fixed plan or route, just gonna roll with it and see how it goes.

I want to get to Tusheti once the road has opened, maybe drive it myself instead of using a local driver.

Where is your ferry from?
Rough cost?
What is the insurance position in Morocco please?

Not sure that I am brave enough, though!

We are off to the Algarve late January, allowing 5 days for the trip, booked an apartment for two months then back via Gibraltar and Andorra early April.

So we didn't have anything planned for this year until we pulled the trigger on the Argos. Now have the following:

- February Half-Term - Netherlands for up to a week (haven't booked a ferry yet though!);

- April / Easter - nothing yet planned but can see me using it for an overnight or two to Cannock Chase with my Mountainbike

- July/August - Austria - 4 days down from Cambridge and 4days back. We're staying at Zugspitz Resort for 9 days - looks great for the kids.

- Feb 2026 - skiing in France. Looking to book a campsite at Chatel pretty much at the bottom of the slope as soon as the pitches become available for the next season during Half Term.

Early May - Lake district.
Late May - France/Belgium to 'see' a relative that died in 1917.
August - Mooch around Wales.

All in a VW Campervan.

Hoping to drive Scotland to Salzburg then meander back through the Alps and low countries home over nearly 3 weeks this summer.

Sorry ... only just saw this...

My Route .... Portsmouth - Caen, then drop down through France and Spain to Algeciras, nr Gibraltar.

Ferry is 280 Euro for an open return ticket to Tangier Med in Morocco.

I've just added a Green card for Morocco to my motorhome insurance - cost was £75 for six weeks. This extends my fully comp policy to be valid in Morocco.

Rough plan is; arrive in Tangier Med, head east, then south towards the desert then west towards the coast and see how far I get.

Probably about 6000 miles, so maybe £1000 - £1200 in fuel. £500 odd for both UK France and Spain Morocco ferry crossings, £125 odd in tolls if we hightail it through France, £75 Green card plus £200 odd in park up / campsites fees.

So, about £2k for fixed costs for the trip - less £400 odd saved in Gas and Electric by not being at home in Feb!

Leaving a week today .. not booked any ferries yet, just sorted the insurance in advance as I need a physical copy of the Green card sent in the post.

Can't wait to get back on the road!

Leaving guernsey on the 14th of feb for St Malo, from there the only plan is to meander to the Pyrenees for some skiing and biking then the alps then onto the med, away for about 4 weeks, nothing booked, just hard or a bit of wild camping.

We had to cancel our 2 month trip to Spain this year due to a death in the family. We got to northern France when we heard so had 1 night and then returned to Blighty. We are currently at Briarfields in Cheltenham until next week when the funeral is being held.

First year of caravanning for me so I'll just be sticking to sites in England whilst I get to grips with a few things. Site search filters set to 'Adults only' and 'Accepts dogs' biggrin
