I think there is a time coming when plastics may end up getting banned in foods.

I remember when Yorkshire Tea bags split after a change away from micro plastics, it must have been about eight years ago so this is quite old news.

After a bit of delving it turns out it was 2018, here's what's been happening since: https://www.taylorsimpact.com/environmental-footpr...

But it doesn’t say what the problem with it is.

The problem with PHD studies is the need to be published and original, so you find some obscure issue, research it to the n’th degree & then publish a paper.
On a slow news day a paper finds this & the next thing you know ‘tea-bags in cancer shock’ headlines.

Well off course it doesn't say the problem, but micro plastics in your blood isn't really a good thing. There are studies of the impact of MP in blood.

Polystyrene microplastics affect learning and memory in mice by inducing oxidative stress and decreasing the level of acetylcholine

The reality is, they should be banned and removed from the food chain as soon as possible.
