964 Short Shifter - advice please
Discussion
hello, I'm thinking of getting a short shifter for my 1990 C2 and wondered whether
a) do they offer any noticeable improvement
b) which type I should go for - currently looking at the Ruf and Weltmeister units.
c) are they easy to fit
d) are there any downsides i.e. put additional stress on the gearbox/clutch
Many thanks (in advance).
Andy.

Dunno. it's not a bad shift anyways. The 964RS has a shorter shift but not noticeable really.
I'd save your money to be honest.
Try a 915 gearbox and you'll think the G50 has the sweetest change ever.... remember that the short shift kits can make the changes quite notchy and you also lose the 'differentiation' between ratios sometimes.
