No 2 is glorious - I can see that framed on my kitchen wall.

Oops sorry - that response should have been in a car thread somewhere.

Did you shoot them how it looks like you shot them, i.e. actually catching them on the drop? (Does that make any sense?)

...or are they manipulated?

First reaction is that they're pretty impressive!

dropped into a fishtank and captured with flash.. the hasselblad only syncs to 500th so let the flashes do the work. I think the main light was set to 1/6000. still got lot of blur on the whole lemon... but froze the slice

You could blend (in ye olde photoshoppe or similar) the second one with a static of the lemon and get quite a corker of a shot....

Number one gets my vote, but level the meniscus. I find the motion blur on the lemon in the other two a bit distracting.

Schweppes anyone?

see, i told you food photography was easy!

Like the last one best, with the lemon nice and sharp, pardon the pun.
