Weird, super-low volume fluctuations because no-one is in the office?
Market manipulations when no-one is looking?

This. UK, Europe and the US on holiday, so no liquidity. Market-makers in Asia widen their bid-ask spreads, so buys and sells cause the "last trade" price on whatever platform/broker XE sources their prices from to flip flop back and forth across the spread.
