If you feel unable to publish a phone number and man it with a reasonable number of people I am very unlikely give you any of my money.

I don't want to make an account / log in / download “the App”/ facebooktimetweet / live chat with a robot. I just want to speak to a person.

If you are unable to provide a person and a number to contact them my business is going elsewhere and you will be on the black list of people to avoid.

You're pretty much opposite of my thinking.

I want to avoid talking to people wherever possible, so want to see the price, spec etc so I can decide myself, and ability to buy easily without talking to anyone. House, car, electronics, banking, insurance, I don't care. I don't want to talk to anyone.

That's fine where you're buying something, not so fine when it's not working and it's near impossible to speak to someone knowledgeable, who isn't reading from a script.

I binned one broadband supplier because the people you spoke to seemed to have zero knowledge about how a broadband router worked. Their only options were to resent it again and again, or to sell you more bandwidth (like that will fix the router).

I do get your thinking, but also prefer helpdesk email type support rather than discussing stuff with people.

Many don't list a phone number or an email address.

My experience of chat bots is heaven help us when AI takes over fully.

If you send an online question, they never actually answer the question you ask and reply from a 'do not reply' email address so you can't have an ongoing dialogue.

Which is very handy as they never produce or send me a bill, no matter how many times I tell them.
