Before my time but seems like a fundamentally decent bloke, which seems rare in US presidents.

Only president to move back home after leaving the white house. BBC quotes that the secret service vehicles parked outside his 2 bed bungalow were worth more than the house. Never got on the gravy train either by the sounds of it.
