I’m interested in a BMW M235i.
A Google search for the plate turns up a Manheim Auctions listing (Bristol) but as Google no longer allows access to cached results I can’t see the detail. Clicking on the link just takes me to a current BMW stock list.

Does anyone have access to a Manheim account and are you able to view the completed listing please?

If you could copy/paste the listing text or drop a screenshot into this thread or PM me I’d be very grateful please. Hoping to establish whether the Manheim listing gives any detail beyond what the dealer can provide.

I’m also interested in the sale date and price if you’re willing to share.
Thanks.

I have an account, however you're not allowed access details for previously sold vehicles unless you were the purchaser, take £1500 off the dealer price and you won't be far off what they paid for it, as for any further info on the car they should tell you all you need to know if they're reputable.

Ah, ok, thanks for the info. It has some modifications, not all of which the dealer was aware of, and very little paperwork. Long shot, but I was hoping there might have been more in the listing. Thanks again.

I have never known auctions to ever list modifications, at best they will put “modified vehicle” or similar and that’s only if their vendor advised them of it.

Mainheim are as bad as BCA for providing accurate details, they both don’t care the focus is on car turnover.

The advise to take £1.5k - £2k of the retail price to get the cost out the door to the dealer is correct, especially if there are other similar vehicles advertised elsewhere at similar money.

If you want to stalk research the car, best bet is probably a Facebook owners group.

Thanks all. I bought the car yesterday. I worked out the rough date it entered the trade from when the VED “expired”, but my curiosity over mods was addressed by an (so far) excellent experience at the dealer.
A no pressure approach, solo test drive down my favourite road and ramp inspection gave me all the reassurance I needed.
It’s a cheap car, and not perfect, but I’m very happy with the deal.
