MOT / dates query

Can’t get my little brain around some dates on a car my lad is wanting to look at, so hopefully someone can show me it’s really simple..

2 owners
Car was first reg March 22 (so MOT due March 25, see below)
Last tax was due August 24
V5C issue date was Nov 23
MOT expires Oct 25 (passed, no advisories)

Can only see the reason for MOT so early is it was possibly sold (and then not actually bought) so dealer wanted to give it at least 6 months MOT.

Thinking it may have been a demo but I’m pretty sure dealers didn’t have demo’s (i20N) ?
Even at that, March to August as a demo doesn’t seem plausible.

There’s more than likely a completely plausible explanation that I can’t see

Could have been as a pre-purchase check by owner #2.

I'd be suspicious but I'm not 100% sure why. Could this imply a serious unregistered accident?
