Thinking of ID Buzz GTX or ID7 T GTX
Discussion
Morning all,
Anyone got one of the above who can share their ownership opinions?
I know they are different types of vehicles but I can get either of them with all options as a company car.
My initial thought was for the 7 as I like a quick estate. It should be comfortable, has a much better range and do almost everything I need.
But, the Buzz looks cool and will be more practical. The range worries me for the longer journeys I do with work and visiting family a couple of times a month.
It also doesn’t look to have the most up to date infotainment system.
Are they comfortable to drive long distances?
I’m currently in a 540i with comfort seats and don’t want to lose that level of comfort.
Cheers in advance.

If comfort is a priority, the ID 7 is your friend. It's right there with a P2 platform Volvo for passenger comfort, and things like the massage seats only help.
Granted, it's not the most stylish of things, but I genuinely don't think there's a great difference in practicality between it and an ID.Buzz, particularly if you never need more than 5 seats.
I'd take a good look at the standard RWD version of the ID 7. I don't think the positives of the GTX (AWD, more performance) outweigh the negatives (poorer range, wider turning circle). The standard car is a better car overall, and in my opinion the AWD makes it duller to drive.

I chose the GTX for that reason. I came to it from a 22MY iPace and prior to that an Audi A6 Allroad. Traction on all season tyres this week in snow and ice has been as good as both. Kitted out better than the iPace, rolls less and performance between it and the Allroad. Kids love the space and can lug huge amounts around. Turning circle no issue but won't wade as well as the previous cars as no air suspension. Current winter range around 260 and was 320 in summer. Semi autonomous driving is amazingly good. Hate the touch sensitive controls on the wheel which are dangerous at times in my view. Really comfy and refined to drive but not a dynamic drive - points surprisingly well and chuckable but feels as lardy as my Allroad did but a decent compromise without a massive bill.
