We had this blind fitted a few months ago. The holding clip comes out on a regular basis. I can put it back but a bit fiddly. The store tell me that it’s a ‘health & safety’ thing to stop children from hanging themselves. They recommend tying the clip to stop it from coming undone though they’re not allowed to do that.

Does anyone here know what to use and/or how to tie it please?

Holding clip looks like it's snapped, we've had the same problem with our blinds. I've found that removing the blind and laying it out on the floor to get it all square and then replace the bottom clips with more sturdy one's is the best solution, We've had no issues for the past few years since we did ours. I think a bag of new clips was less than a fiver from Amazon.

Thanks. I’ve put cable clips on this morning, see how that does.

I know it seems like a bit of “H&S gone mad” or excuse-making but just wanted to point out that young children getting tangled in blind cords and dying, is a very real risk that people should be more aware of. It really does happen and far more often that you’d think.

I understand but we don’t have children and these clips are just not fit for purpose.

It’s the same for us with no kids. We just keep the necessary bits and if we ever sell to someone with young kids we can let them have the bits and they can sort accordingly.

As said the safety clips are needed to meet the child blind safety regulations, where I have blinds that are going to be in slightly more heavy handed environments I use a different orb at the bottom so that I don't need to use those clips but the cord will still slip through should something get caught up.

If you bought from a maker that's helpful they should be willing to change them. Their 'tying' response makes me think they think that the orb is coming off (i'm assuming they haven't seen the issue) so if you want to convey more accurately to them its that the 'handbag' clip keeps separating.
I'm guessing that the handle is on that side and the cord is catching on it when being raised which is why it keeps breaking off (as its meant to do) so if you're a little more careful when raising it to ensure its not catching it should be fine.
