When my Elise sells im considering one of these as id like to go back to a semi interesting daily driver, budget will be £20k so im looking at maybe a 2016/17 model.
I do about 5000 miles a year on a mixture of roads and dont really need lots of space but do prefer the stability of the Quattro system on our roads.
I had considered an RS3 but you seem to pay a lot more for an older car just for that engine and im not that sold on the looks really.
Any owners around past or present that can give some feedback on them and how it was for you.

I've got a 2015 one, purchased in August 2023 from Harrogate Audi. I'm lucky to have had lots of very nice cars (R32 Golfs, S3, S2000 etc), but this is the most... satisfying car I've had. It looks great to my eyes,
I like:
- It looks great (mine's Mythos Black with red seats) Black interiors feel claustrophobic to me, so I wanted red, or the grey ata puch.
- its relatively small size
- it handles well, with excellent traction (once I'd had the Haldex pump replaced under warranty, it was effectively 2wd for a while and I was getting wheelspin at every junction when I stepped out even fairly quickly)
- it is easily fast enough for me. My days of everywhere flat out are long gone and I rarely use all the performance but it's very nice to have it. Apparently very easy to remap to near 400bhp, but I'm not into that, plus, as I say, I don't actually need more performance.
- DSG suits it very well
- the interior is a delight every time I get in. I had the MMI upgraded with Audi Smartphone Interface, which gives me (wired) Android Auto and therefore Waze on the virtual cockpit, well worth it, as the built in nav isn't as smart
- I'm pretty sure mine was a dealer demo and so it has loads of kit - B&O sound, digital climate, advanced key, side assist blindspot monitoring and (best of all) Matrix headlights, which are clearly powered by sorcery. There's plenty out there with relatively low levels of equipment, I'd want the Tech pack and Comfort & Sound pack as a minimum.
I dislike:
- dealers. Mine's still under warranty, so I'll keep it with Audi until that expires for ease, but my local one isn't great. Arrogant service manager, don't respond to feedback...
- MPG on short runs isn't great
- Super Sports seats look and feel great, but aren't well built, so trim comes loose and can rattle. mine does, so that;'s on the list to sort.
I often travel from SW England to Glasgow. Last year I came back in a named storm, I forget which, but the rain was horizontal at Tebay services. Opening the door (without touching the key) and dropping into that interior was a delight as I shut the storm out and the car was solid as a rock on the M6.
I can get high 30s MPG on a long run, I don't worry about leaving it parked (it's just a TT and there's loads of them about, plus it's not as desirable to scumbags as an S3, or the catalytic convertor on an S2000!) and I always look back at it as I walk away.
Hope that helps, ask away if there's anything specific you want to know.

Thats great info so thanks, i suppose i need to find out the common problems with them really, i did read about the water pump and thermostat maybe being a common area. Transmission and haldex servicing also is critical on time.
I carry out all maintenance and repairs myself so luckily i save a lot there.

Yes, weeping from the thermostat housing is common. I haven't had it yet (I'm at 70k miles) but, as it's under warranty, I decided not to worry about it and just keep an eye on coolant level. So far, so good...
If I keep it after the warranty (which is likely, as I haven't seen anything else which really appeals) I'll likely get it done preemptively.
Haldex and DSG maintenance is essential. Mine had a DSG service at sale. If you're doing your own work I think it's worth looking into changing the Haldex filter as well as the fluid as I believe it's not an Audi service item. Loads of good guides on YouTube.
I think they're great cars in the right spec. Proper feel good things, and the small coupe market is declining as things like this go out of production and don't get replaced. Shame, but good for us current owners!
Oh I forgot to say - the back seats are useless for any humans with legs, but if you fold them down the back is surprisingly spacious. Our dog can travel there (she's an 8kg Collie/Poodle cross, so not a huge hound, but not a dachshund either) very comfortably.
