Hi there

Can someone recommend a good insurer for home&contents? I'm paying about £350 annually with the AA right now for a £150k brick terraced house, 1910.

Try here www.moneysupermarket.com/default.asp?Source=GOOTRAV1

I found the Halifax offered me the best level of cover.

Sorry to regurgitate this one again.... anyone know of insurers who will do an insurance quote for a house with risk of flooding?

Strange this should be posted just now, but i have spent the best part of last week finding a better renewal quote than my renewal from Abbey of £350 for B&C.

Best i got was Sainsbury's - no stipulation on rebuild or contents maximum. I opted for a slightly higher excess, but i saved over £150 per year! A semi detached, 3 bed 1940s house. Try them
