Andrew Tate - new political party - predictions
Discussion
Apologies, not a car thread but I know people like this kind of stuff.
Andrew Tate has announced he is going to create a disruptive new political party in the UK: https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/andrew-tate-p...
Given his own stated level of success in other areas such as business and martial arts it stands to reason he should be able to succeed in politics as well, right?

Simply a play for attention in the US. Declaring he's going to "run for Prime Minister", and getting that amplified by equally, or even more, appalling individuals like Elmo Musket, when down here in the real world there is no concept of "running for Prime Minister" in our electoral system, it is not a directly elected, Presidential style post. But, that's all that the underbelly of thick American gun-toting misogynists and racists understands, so it plays well there and garners attention, clicks and thereby money.
Literally nothing to see here (here being the UK).

I wonder if he thinks he's like Trump and the unfair legal challenges he has faced give him a martyr status which will propel him to the top.
Trying to make it big in politics is the ultimate litmus test for popularity. How he views himself and how the public see him will meet somewhere... low down the polling tables.

To become PM in the country, you have to first be elected as leader of a major political party (one of two, unless something changes dramatically in the next couple of years, which is highly unlikely), and also obtain a seat in the Commons by electoral means or in the Lords by appointment (yes, I know the latter isn't an absolute legal requirement, but it is a necessity in reality).Trying to make it big in politics is the ultimate litmus test for popularity. It's hard to imagine any path where Andrew Tate achieves these two things and thereby becomes PM of the UK.

Then he would be wrong. Aside from the ghouls in their bedroom shadows, Brits are a bunch of cynical piss takers.
What turns an American hard with outrage and reaching for their pea shooter would get little more than a sneer or a chuckle out of us.
My prediction - he names it CobraTate And The Feel-Good Pee Pee Sex Party.
