Sold on there around 18 months ago a Porsche Boxster. Mine made bang on estimate and the dealer came from Wales to purchase and paid me by bank transfer and left.
A couple of things:
The app is a bit of a pain to use and requires you to take pictures directly into the app, so you can't take your own and then upload them.
Once the auction is completed you are still at the mercy of the winning bidder (dealer) so it is down to the quality and reliability of the buyer, and of course you listing the car and any faults accurately, the winning dealer may try and barter you down when they collect.

Just tried to use them. To be fair 3 days before Christmas wasn't the greatest timing.
Personally I wasn't particularly impressed. The initial offer was about where I expected but the app you have to use to take photo's was a bit of a pain. You then have to go through a phone call of which the sole objective seems to be to lower your expectations. Auction went ahead and it came in at 15% below the already on the slightly low side of what I thought it was worth. But it was just before Christmas.
In the end I rang We Want Any Car. Initial offer was same as Motorway. Had a good chat with a guy on phone about condition of car and a price was agreed just shy of the initial offer as in fairness the wheels need a refurb. The only pain bit was trying to arrange the collection, telephone tag both ways, but it was over the break. Nice chap turns up, quick test drive round the block and a once over to confirm as described and money in my account 10 mins later whilst they waited out side.
Could I have got more with better timing, yes. But it was an OK process. I'd use them again.
If I had some dry storage I wouldn't have sold it in the first place but as it was it would have sat on the drive and rotted. So had to go.

My experience was mixed but mostly positive.
Got a high initial quote on the website of 15K which I thought was as much as I would get for a private sale if I was lucky. 2K more than WBAC. Once I took the photos and had a call with Motorway this dropped to 14.5K and they advised a reserve of 14.2. The car was in good condition with a full service history, the drop in price was unjustified in my opinion but since the initial quote felt high I proceeded. I get the feeling the initial quotes are high to lure you into the process.
I only had 2 dealers bid and got an offer of 14K which I agreed to. The car has now been for sale at the dealer for nearly 3 months and the price has slowly dropped to 16K so I feel like my 14K was very reasonable in hindsight.
The bloke that collected was very friendly and I had no haggling. To be honest I was fully prepared to let him walk if they tried to reduce the price further and I think anyone using Motorway needs to be prepared to do the same.
What I don't like is how Motorway state you are supposed to include all damage in photos including all stone chips. On older cars this just doesn't seem realistic and leaves less scrupulous dealers a door to negotiate on collection. There needs to be some pragmatism in the process and ultimately you are going to be at the mercy of the collecting dealer.
Also worth noting that you can get extra cashback via Quidco and topcashback if you initiate the process via their websites.
