Discussion
Following on from the trackday thread. I'll post the details here for simplicity.
The details are shown below. Its a "Dutch" affair so give 'em a ring and get booked in, then post up your confrimation here.
A couple weeks before hand, I'll start a "meet up and travel in" Thread to help get the bodies moving in the right direction on the day.
The website to book on is here:

Brief synopsis lifted from the site:
"Bedford Autodrome Dual Circuit Day
@ £ 189.00
Bedford Autodrome
Saturday 22 October 2005
Never before in the UK has there been a chance to tackle 2 different circuits in one day at one venue. Until now..
Bedford’s West and SEN circuits will be open on the day giving you the opportunity to develop your various track skills. The West circuit offers long straights and multiple high speed corners. The SEN circuit combines fast straights with demanding corners and two hairpins to test your precision driving.
Open pit lane throughout the day means that you will have all the track time you can handle.
Bedford also offers a huge safety advantage over other circuits. There are no barriers just huge run offs which allow you to test your cars potential without the risk of damaging your pride and joy. Well... maybe your pride a little bit. This key feature means that this circuit is perfect for all levels of driving ability, from the track virgin through to track addict. "
Just to make sure you did'nt miss it, that's a go on TWO tracks in ONE day. One in the moring and one in the afternoon.
Go as you will on the day but there will be a certain amount of driving like a pommy poofter with myself being firmly in the "novice group"..
Go on you know you want to.....
PS:
Fuel - Plan on using loads of it I dont know if there are petrol facilities onsite or closeby, i'll find out...
Gaffertape for the leading edges of bodywork (it's a pig to get off BUT it absorbs the stone energy better than most things),
2" wide Insulting tape for the lights/mirrors and number plate
Helmet a must (school lids are rubbish and stink like a bad fish)
Gloves are advised but not compulsory,
Driving boots OR (at the very least) comfy, thin soled shoes (deck shoes are perfect) are almost essential ( you wont have a clue in the pair of huge trainers or timberlands that look sooo cooool- like driving in a duvet),
Stopwatch is up to you - i find that if stopwatches are present in any large numbers, three things happen:
1) you crash trying to start and stop the damn thing accurately, :P
2) you crash trying to beat the time set by a "sleeper" (someone with a modded car that looks standard or a local hotshoe who knows the place like the back of his hand and could beat your best dry time when it's wet and foggy)
3) every bugger lies about the times anyway :P :P :P

Just remember to keep your foot planted on the last bend into the straight in front of the pits, have seen a few spin out for lifting off.
Anyone with noisey exhaust can expect to be ejected from the circuit, easy to pass noise test on entry but they measure Db on track.
You just missed Redline track day for £100 there too.

All I can say is that I have winessed cars being ejected before they even got it on the track let alone those out on track, plus the marshalls are very strict which is a good thing.
Not to mention the Clio 182 who lost on the last bend and flipped it into a high roll right in front of the pits..... thankfully nothing hurt but the pride on the driver, car totally fubar.
To be honest have never tested on DB meter. The 6.0 VXR system is the loudest we do and i would suggest that it is no more than 85db based on hearing other cars that fall below 89db. A deep V8 bass note vs a high pitched 'enhanced' volume note of a TypeR or something bears no DB comparison. U feel a V8 note as it goes past, is part of the process we go through when developing the systems.
Sometimes makes them sound louder than they actually are as not just ears picking it up.
Just a thought, if anyone has got a DB meter and is going the ACE could record a number of different systems to give people are more accurate figure....anyone ?
