Me and the wife are looking for a new sofa. Looking towards a corner sofa with electric reclining. We have got a few we have narrowed down at DFS but was wondering if there was anywhere else we could look. We have looked at the local SCS and furniture village but nothing took our fancy. Where does everyone get there sofas from?

Cheers all.

Based in Hertfordshire if that is any relevance.

We got our sofa from Oak Furniture Land. Electric recliner at both ends and only £1100. It also has USB Ports.

If you want to push the boat out, look at Stressless. Last a lifetime. Well nearly. Our chairs are 10 years old and still look good.

I had mine from barker and stonehouse, they were on the same retail park and DFS, SCS and probably a few others that I have forgotten.

Pretty pain free buying from them, didn’t push any finance or unwanted extras, communication was good and the right sofas turned up on time.

Just had ours delivered from Sofology - seems OK and reasonable value

We're currently in the market for a corner sofa to replace two aging (10yr +) sofa's. They came from John Lewis and although now looking a little bit worse for wear, have lasted incredibly well.

For that reason alone we'll probably go back.

My parents have a few sofas and a couple of chairs from Next.

They’ve had them since about 2005 if memory serves, and they look like new.

Make of that what you will!

By the same token, I bought a sofa from Made about five years ago and it’s on its last legs. It was cheap, to be fair.

We’re on the lookout for its replacement and we’re told John Sankey is very good.

John Lewis and loaf too

We had a beautiful brown leather sofa from John Lewis which I couldn’t fault, we wanted a corner group instead and set about looking everywhere

We wanted something with deep cushions that we would both lay down on.

John Lewis, M&S loaf, next and dfs where no good

Got one from sofology in The end, can’t fault it. I think they’re a part of DFS maybe their higher end

5 years 0% finance too

Take a look on eBay at ex-display sofas, they depreciate like cars used to do. Ercol factory shop is worth a scan too, although they don't motorise their designs smile

Costco?

https://www.costco.co.uk/Furniture-Mattresses/Livi...

I think they have a (cheaper?) membership fee which allows you to just shop online.
