Got the itch to own a car I'd loved in my early 20's and this was further prompted by my new neighbour owning a Chimaera. The problem was I live in Australia and they are very rare and hardly come up for sale.

So I decided to pursue the export path and bought an excellent 450 from James Agger which has had a full engine rebuild by Powers and chassis off refurb.

10 long weeks went by as I tracked the ship across the world, but it landed a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. Small issue with a window motor which James was kind enough to ship out a replacement part.

Few things to do to pass Australian compliance rules later this month but the love affair has begun!

Looks great. Plenty of sunny days in your part of the world to enjoy some roof off motoring!

Bit of a coincidence, a very recent thread in this area was asking about the issue of imports regarding asbestos. Perhaps you can advise a fellow aussie? smile

Yep thanks. For some reason, most of the time I'm not able to post on this forum. Apparently I'm spam.

Your 450 is an absolutely gorgeous looking car. I’m keen to hear how you got on with getting it complianced. I would like to bring in a Mk2 Cerbera and hoping you would be so kind to share some advice please.
