Replacement key blade for Peugeot

We've recently purchased an e2008 and i've noticed one of the key fobs is missing the key blade.
We bought from a non-Peugeot dealer and they're not exactly helpful so it's easier to just pay ourselves for the replacement part from the internet because it's only a few quid.
Is there any way to obtain the keycode from either of the existing key fobs, the existing key blade or registration plate?
I did speak to the Peugeot garage when I had a minor warranty repair - garage kindly allowed us to get the part repaired but they wanted photo ID, bills, bank statements, inside leg measurements and retinal scans before they'd even consider handing over the code to the key which was in my hand!
