Tips for following MIlle MIglia in a classic car
Discussion
I will be doing an european roadtrip, that will have a part in which I will be following the MIlle MIglia with my Busso converted 1973 Alfa Spider. I tried to search for other maniacs trip reports from the forum, but did not find anything recent. Harry´s garage Alfa Spider roadtrip video has been viewed quite a few times. Any tips for the trip?
This will not be my first time in Italy with a classic Alfa.

No advice on where to watch out and about as the route varies but one of my best motoring experiences was spending the day before sitting outside a cafe in Brescia watching the cars trundling past after technical checks and queuing up for the blessing ceremony. The Mille Miglia museum is well worth a visit too.

We are trying to combine that with a road trip of our own among the competitors. Won´t go all way to Rome as I do not fancy 16 hour driving days. I am considering going to watch this year taking in the Stelvio on the way home. Owing to other commitments I will not be there for the start.
Can anyone tell me what goes on in Brescia around the finish. There are a couple of accounts that cover the scrutineering etc at the start.
Also interested in any campsite recommendations.
Thanks.
