There’s some really good stuff this year.

I have pre-ordered the Jaguar, Gannet, Wessex & Stalwart.

I’m quite proud of the fact I called the Jaguar in August.

Not normally a 1/48 builder but I will be very tempted.

The stand out release for me is the 1/144 Artemis rocket. Lets hope Trump doesn't cancel the project - especially as he has Musk whispering in his era.

What scale is the Spitfire T.9? Does it have the option of the ML407 style low profile rear canopy?

1/48

Not sure about the low profile rear canopy. Tr9 produced by Vickers-Supermarine all had the bubble style rear canopy.

The low profile rear canopy - sometimes referred to as The Grace Canopy - was devised in the 1980s so applies to some of the more recent restorations.

I'm wondering if that's actual new moulds or just a rebox.
I assume the two landrovers, the Bedford mk and the 105 mm are the old JB models, not necessarily a bad thing having built the mk, the landrover, the 1 ton ambulance and the Saracen.

Thanks Eric (with a smile) - I’m very aware of the tech details having constructed the 10a and 13a seat frames for a T.9 and worked for several T.9 operators over the years. The low profile rear canopy was a joint venture between Dick Melton and Nick Grace for ML407 and was later used on PT462 and MH367. A more recent restoration has gone for that format too.

It has its adherents - although I prefer the original design.

I think the Tr9 looks great in Irish markings.

Agree - in the original rear canopy format.

There's a few things there I'll be getting I'm sure!

The two-seater Spitfire is definitely one, the Vulcan's the only v-bomber(/tanker) I don't have in 1:72 (and probably my favourite) and I like the refuelling truck in 1:48. And the little men (with the chasing dog!) will add a bit of interest between the planes too smile

The 1:35 Alvis Stalwart stood out for me too. I hope an after-market manufacturer produces a crane for it.

I will be getting myself the Jaguar 1/48 and the Space Shuttle I think.

Two really nice releases.

Now when I will ever get the chance to build them is a different story.

The Airfix 1/144 Space Shuttle is probably the best around in that scale. There are two others available - one from from Academy/Minicraft and one from Revell.

The Spitfire TR.9 in Irish markings was genuinely chosen with Eric in mind smile too many differences between the original design and the Grace style conversion to be able to do both from the same tools, we had to choose one or the other unfortunately.

Stalwart was partly inspired by the restoration thread on here, such impressive vehicles in real life.

Jag is all new moulds.

Good to see the Artemis rocket has gone down well, it’s an impressive model.

I’m a happy bunny. The Spitfire Tr9 and Artemis are now pre-ordered.
