Hi all

A relative has recieved a PCN from NCP as the registered keeper of the vehicle.

Driver tried to pay at the machines but wouldn't accept card payment, and the coins just fell through the machine and came out at the bottom.

PCN recieved but has been received well after the 14 day period set out in the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.

Is it worth appealing this? Driver was happy to pay, but there was actually no way of paying!

Many thanks

Best to go to ftla website for these, will get specialized advice. If you're prepared to fight, you can almost certainly get you off

Thanks, wondered where that site had gone! From what I've read, it's over the 14 day period so can appeal on that basis.

It's fair to say the driver isn't that technically advanced!

Just to update this incase anyone searches for similar in future.

I appealed on the NCP website stating their notice was outside of the 14 day period, therefore i was under no legal obligation to name the driver and wouldn't be doing so.

Outcome - Ticket cancelled smile

You're very helpful to your relative

She's genuinely not very good with this sort of stuff and she did genuinely try to pay but wouldn't accept so their loss.

I don't think anyone would risk a ticket for £1.50!
