Just bought myself a 2002Tii as a winter project.
:bounce:

It's essentially in need of a rebuild both mechanically and structually  but the plan is to turn it into a bit of a trackday come weekend toy!

:driving:

Anybody on here had any experience with the 2002?

Thanks for that Satin, I thought I was on my own there for a minute!

Can't wait to get mine on the road (and track)!

I'll keep you up to date.

Thanks Bedford, I'll keep the PH community up to date with pics etc as and when work starts!

It's at the bodyshop at the moment awaiting a new roof!

hi, again not an owner but driven the turbo model a few years ago, absolute dream car. this months auto express (fast cars edition) has an article about BMW UK building one out of all the parts they have left over, will be on the road later this year. Jaymic are good for parts, had an old 2000CS a few years ago and sourced many a odd or sod through them, also try the german ebay site, lots of bits on there. Good Luck and look forward to seeing the finished article.

Great cars. Bomb proof. Congrats. Have had some experience with them, but admittedly I'm more of an E21 6 cylinder fan. They're both quite similar cars under the skin. I'll be begining the restoration of my 1970s E21 323i pretty soon, complete with stretched engine and new suspension sub frames.

Just picked up a 1974 Tii myself and debating whether to keep it as a road and track toy or convert it for Group 1 Touring cars. Would also be interested in any advice or information from other members. I have a bit of experience with BMWs as I have been racing an E30 BMW for the last 3 years.

Smi1er,

I am in the process of buying either an E30 or E36 M3 for trackday work and in the meantime get the 2002 ready.
