Just looked through Autotrader and couldn’t believe the number of new RS3s that are available to buy at Audi dealerships already. Last look was 58 Carbon Vorsprung models. The majority already being discounted, the most I saw was £4500 off already. Also noticed none of these were fitted with the carbon buckets, not one. Are they not offering these as an option now as I saw on the configurator they were £2k extra.
Is the price of nearly £70k too much for one of these?

Ironic as during Covid you couldn't get one for love nor money ...

Shame they have dropped the CCB's albeit I assume not much demand when they offered it last time.

Funnily, I just received an invitation email from the local Audi dealer saying that the RS3 has finally arrived with them.

Don't think much of the lime green colour scheme they're showing though. hurl

Certainly a brave choice

Are they really £70k?

It'd be cheaper to buy and run that £70k 540C that was posted on the MC20 thread.

Nobody wants an early one. Wait until the badges are sorted out by Audi and refitted (already happened on s line models) and the buckets being available to order

What’s wrong with the badges?

Nothing wrong with the badges, Audi sadly decided not to fit the RS3 badge front grille this model.

It's the 'new' Audi badging on the back and on the steering wheel but the 'old' RS badging on the seat and sill protectors / door lights. Bit disjointed.

Christ, when I think of the alternative tin for £70k...

hell, even from their own stable I'd rather take a 2nd hand R8 V10.

My 2015 RS3 was £40k which is £54k inflated to today. Considering they have cheapened the quality ...

A zero option car was 40 (which nobody bought). 45-50 more common.

A base RS3 today is considerably better equipped and lists at 60k. Vorsprung is 70 with loads of toys included. Likely a 6-7k deposit contribution on the cards with that too.

I did wonder about ordering a new facelift 8Y but concluded that an older RS3 is better value for me given my low annual mileage.

The broker discounts have been available since last autumn, which suggested at the time that stock - at country level - was on its way. But 84 unsold seems like a lot! My guess is that Audi UK have made big orders for the most profitable units for now, but that this will later be reduced to comply with EV / Co2 targets for the year.

I may come to look at used 8Y somewhere down the line but am currently struggling with some of the facelift's styling touches... the wheels, rear diffuser, larger rear spoiler (most trims) and steering wheel detract from the clean look of old. In comparison, the 8Y facelift S3 seems more cohesive and is a much bigger technical step up on its pre-facelift form.

My local Audi dealer had a brand new facelift RS3 in so popped down to take a look. I just cannot get over why there is no RS badge in the front grill. New steering wheel is not great imo. Pre facelift would be my choice

I’m exploring changing and was offered the below on a Vorsprung RS3.

£7k down
8,000 miles
48 months
£700 a month

Not sure if I’m just not used to this high APR% world but that looks steep to me.

Over £40k just to hand it back.

RS3 residuals seems quite good, pretty sure my mate just paid over 40k for a 21 plate so that looks like a lot to me.

Saw a YT short comparing the quality of Audi's from around 5 years ago to know and it looks like they've fallen off a cliff with regards to switchgear in particular.

Audi finance is over 10% - that will be why.
