Antique brass/bronze

I'm making a display case which is currently acrylic on a solid base. It would look good with antique brass/bronze corners. I can get feet in the same effect. But to make it look sensible it needs L-section strip on all the edges, 8-10mm wide, to join them all together visually.

I can buy brass L-section easily enough, but it's shiny brass. Is there a trick treatment I can put on it to make it look 'antique brass/bronze'?

Have a Google for Patination oil / Antiquing fluid.
There is also burnishing fluid from AK interactive, used to blacken white metal tank tracks.
If you are in no rush then leave the section outside in an exposed area,
Then bury it, it's one of the old Antique dealers / traders tricks to add gae to a piece.
