I am an OVO customer, gas and electricity.
We actually use a fair bit of electricity. I keep seeing power move on the website. it's a convoluted way of using power at non peak times for reward. Albeit I can't see how much or how lucrative.

Are there any users of this out there . How does it work for you are you winning

Thanks

Our combined bills were £400 for the last 2 months, elec was £150, we aren't a particularly high usage household. We saved 40p over the last two bills!

We've tried to increase or decrease usage as required but we just can't make it move enough to make it worthwhile.

Ex OVO customer. I tried hard to use their power move discounts and got reports that I was doing really well compared to other users.

However the net effect was usually 2/3 of 3/5 of not a lot. Basically I didn't find it worth the effort. I got sent a massive pack of printed bills when I left OVO, and couldn't find the discounts had been applied.

If you use less than 12% of your daily usage in the 3 peak hours over 3 months? (I think) you get a tiny amount of money.

Note that 3 hours is 12.5% of the day.

You need either very low usage, so that using, f.e, a washing machine consumes a noticeable proportion of the daily usage, or very high, with say an ev you can chuck 40kwh into.

I use about 15kwh a day, so to qualify for the lowest measly prize, I would have to use under 600wh for those 3 hours, that's no TV or pcs running and certainly no cooking dinner.

For 3 months.

For £3.
