The garage now has 3 cars and I like to do my own servicing but golden rule using genuine manufacturer parts.
Today I was mugged for over £60 for a cabin / pollen filter A4 size for one of my vehicles so thinking of breaking my golden rule.
Quick google is showing a similar part from Febi Bilstein for £20.
What is the collective thoughts on going down this route for the Cabin / Pollen filter?

I'm also an OEM where possible guy, but I don't think I'd be too worried about going aftermarket on a cabin filter.

Febi are an known brand, and the part itself is a service item so should see reasonably frequent replacement anyway if there is an issue, and most importantly is neither a safety or reliability concern.

Perfectly fine, febi are ok for parts. Most back street garages will put the cheapest crap possible in and i bet some would not even change it.

MANN is my current go to brand, they seem to be OE quality.

I’d be happy with a Mann or Bosch part. The manufacturers don’t make their own filters and a high proportion will use those two.

My perception of febi is that they are mainly aftermarket but I’d still use a cabin filter from them. Oil probably less so.

Random shout out for the carbon filters, spend that extra £5 and get one, makes a huge difference.

(Ford wanted £110 for a filter, Autosave wanted £21 - guess which one I went for)
