Nooooooooooooooooooooo, not the TVR, the Volvo.
Grabbing my nuts firmly in my hand, the TVR will be my main driver. So far, all the little problems are ironed out, I like driving it, and even more so in horrendous weather.
The volvo is just gathering dust as it was meant to support the TVR, but in reality what's the point, I always opt for the tvr anyway, even in horrendous conditions.
Besides, I have a bobble hat, goretex jacket and gloves, so where's the problem. :nuts:

Ah! a heater. What luxury in weather like this.
I'm of the hat, coat and gloves brigade . My "cabin" setting just heats up the back face of the dash! Helps get the moisture out of the dials though.
The wife has gone potty, she has started saying things like, "why not leave the roof on"!!!! Bonkers I tell you.

Right, heater.. Its actually pretty ogood on that one, but it does need a bit of knack to get it to work..
Its a TVR thing I think..

On the right hand side, cable operates a valve.. Thats the badger..
For some reason, after the dash was taken out and tidied up, the slider on the dash never quite worked properly again.. If you move it from hot to cold, it does the job and closes the valve, so you get cold air ok. However, moving it from cold to hot has no effect so you need to open the bonnet and manually slide the value and cable. I found if it was looking like a chilly day, I'd slide the value to fully hot then if I started to overheat I cold cool down a little by adjusting the slider..
It was on my little list of things that needed looking at..

Heater? I use the car every day, leave at 6:30 in the morning and I think I've only had the roof on once this month when it was teeming with rain and that was the only time I've used the heater to clear the windscreen.
The hat and gloves have had to come out though.
Personally, I love open top motoring on cold crisp mornings.

It might just want some WD40 spraying down the cable to free it up,it sorted mine
I'm of to Boots to stock up on plasters! The dash has to come off. It'll de-mist OK but moving the lever to cabin...reduces the screen vent but nothing else! Not even the side vents do anything. The wife wants her feet warmer! Honest
I've tried the "sell the practicle car and buy a cerby" thing with her...I'm taking the silence as an as yet undecided.

I assume the vents in the footwell are open
If you need to get to behind the dash,most of the heater hoses are accessable buy just removing the dash panel.There is one hose behind the dash on the passanger side which is accessiable from the glove box without removing the dash.This hose puts hot air to the passanger footwell (assuming the eyeball vent is open)

Plus re-routing the cable as the dash was off
My speedo now works.

Edited to apologise to Silverback. Thats what I did with my Saab. Except for the wifes car, my Tiv's the only one I need. Can't wait for winter

Forgot to mention that the chap that sold her to me told me she doesn't go so well with the roof up..
Can't say I ever found out though.. Shnozz thought I'd lost the roof at one stage..
S's always go better with the roof off...everyone knows that.....In fact don't ever put the roof on. My Son did in '98 when he borrowed the old girl to impress his new ladeeeee with a fancy hair do and the roof panels landed under an artic' half way up the A12!!!!! problem solved .... the girl friend???? who knows??
