Highly recommend Lille for servicing.

Just had two days in France some good food and sights all in for less than my two local Alpine garages servicing.
If the weather was better then roads would have been great.

Service and contacts was far better, quick responses, booked in for a timed slot.
Car was back 4 minutes late.

Service tech works just in these cars and was happy to chat at both handovers.

Just another level of service, why are we so poor in the UK?

If the UK had rolled out at least a couple of these dedicated centres I think it would have paid dividends.

Pretty much had own train on way out as it was "low"

Back next year.

Interesting! Thanks for sharing this. I’ve had great experience with Southampton, but good to know there are options. Never occurred to me to go on a road trip to France for the service.

Hmm, just booking a July road trip to the Italian lakes; 3rd service is due in September. And there are worse places for a day's mooching. I wonder...

I’m up for any excuse to go to France. Always surfing the 90/180 day rule…

How did the costs of the service compare?

I had the first service done for my A110 in Germany in 2023 while on my way to Slovenian Alps. Last year the second service was done in Belgium while on another road-trip. This year perhaps a road trip through the Baltics and Poland to Berlin and service either in Poland or Germany.

I'm from Finland and since there are no Alpine dealers/service in Finland, the road trips are a good way to combine travelling and getting the car serviced. I would imagine that for people from the UK it would quite easy to make road trip to France and have the car serviced there.

St Alban's was £805
Lille 650 euros.

Southampton was better £ than st Alban's, but took so long to get back to me I had booked.

I think it was a week to get a response from Southampton, Lille we had 4 emails in a day to get it sorted.

Contacts from west London service/parts was abysmal.

Train 90 return.
Hotel 65? Independent and pretty ok...good breakfast
Petrol, tank and half.
Dinner £25. And great. https://www.estaminet-cafe-de-la-fontaine.fr/

Didn't really go to save money,,mainly had minimal choice with what's around me and was fed up

Enjoyed the trip and better service.

How was the booking process? I have reasonably decent French, but it has got worse since starting to learn Welsh! I ended up speaking 'Frymraeg' last year when trying to source a tyre during a road trip, which was no use to anyone...even me!

I've given up being embarrassed by my lack of decent language skills it is what it is and Tech now comes to the rescue.

Don't want to come across all fanboy but couldn't have been easier I emailed this guy:

Adrien Moreira
Conseiller Commercial Alpine

Mobile : +33 (6) 61 18 12 18
Fixe : +33 (0) 3 20 93 52 68
Email : adrien.moreira@emilfrey.fr

And all dealt with by email in a day, chatted with him on the day and his English is fluent.
In future I would just call and deal with it in one hit

Techs English was just fine and he gave me his card to text over any Q's I had after the day.

I was the first direct from the UK but they deal with Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. As well as a a few UK guys living out in France.

Utter Breeze.

Now I just need to find a decent Volvo service centre somewhere.....

Hi all, I had my 2nd service at Alpine Store Lille today and can second the opinion on this thread, it’s a great experience…

£850 quoted for St Albans.

Is that just a basic service yikes

I think I'll be heading to Lille when mine is due and incorporate it into a trip too. Thanks OP for posting smile

Very interesting. I do like driving on the Continent and I like the excuse of a service for a short trip.

Car came from Winchester, there’s a dealer in Banbury, st Alan’s isn’t far but I think I’ve read iffy reports, and there’s Brentford. Might just be more convenient to head to Lille via the Tunnel.

I have to say that the service intervals are shorter than I’m used to… and costs are pretty steep.

I've just had my 3 year service done by Floyd at Diablo Motorsport (he was at k-tec until last month). Oil/filter, cabin filter and clean/re-oil the air filter came to £270 (I do my own brake fluid). Mine won't be going back to a dealership any time soon
