Pickup truck values with BIK tax changes
Discussion
Hi All
Just wonder if any one has any data or reports relating to pickup truck market and residuals for after new tax changes come in from April 2025.
The new rules mean any one purchasing a pickup truck from April will be taxed based on it being a car rather than a commercial vehicle.
Obviously the pickup market is huge in uk at present and prices for new and used very high.
I have a landscaping business and thinking of buying a pickup again (my 70 plate ranger got written off last year) before the new tax changes as then you can use as a commercial until 2030 I believe.
Only concern really is the residual price from April? Is the market going to pretty much die?
