Hi All,

Our family MINI Cooper needs a new exhaust as the old aftermarket one has blown.

We're after as standard a setup as possible, but the MINI genuine one is £750+. Which is a lot for a mild steel exhaust.

So Milltek seems a good option. Anyone running one? We'd go for resonated, goal is to keep it "factory" as much as poss.

It is a brand of aftermarket exhaust, google is your friend.

Thanks. Although to be fair I find one random word quite unhelpful. I was more interested in hearing from people's experiences of Miltek specifically or other options. Just saying Magnaflow adds very little to the conversation. I did just Google them and seem an good option but there is zero info around what sort of exhaust this is (loud, resonates... etc.).

Suppose there aren't many R50 owners on PH though, so fair enough.

I have a milltek resonated on my R53 - I know it's not an r50 but mini perspective at least.

I am mature of age and am not keen on loud exhausts but am very happy with my milltek. It is a bit burbly, but nothing offensive.

I too am by no means young but have put a full Milltek exhaust on my GP I. I went the resonated route as I cannot abide really loud exhausts and to much noise inside the cabin. I put it on myself and should have pushed it out a bit further as when cold it lines up with the rear valance. Once warm sticks out but is still touching the valence. I have not got around to putting in spacers yet so it doesn't touch.

Milltek customer service was very good and it's good to buy British with the economy as it is.

I have a Milltek non res on my R53, I’ve never thought it too loud or droney at all, and sadly I’d consider myself slightly mature of agelaugh
It sounds brilliant. No regrets at all, been on the car for eight years
