Really does my head in when people say 100% to a question when they mean "yes"

Do you like chips? The answer is either yes or no, it's the s who say 100% instead of yeah/yes that makes me want to kill

I only like chips at lunch time, not a big fan of the chippy dinner, so im on the fence on that qustion. Or is it dinner and tea.. Fek knows

You're a northerner aren't you, you have dinner in the evening. Southerners have tea in the evening, dinner is midday.

It's becoming quite common to day zero instead of no these days.

"There is zero chance of this proceeding"

Instead of:

"There is no chance of this proceeding"

I think someone told me once that it was better English to say:

"There isn't any chance of this proceeding"

But don't quote me on that smile

I like chips but not with a Chinese or Indian meal so not yes or 100% but more like not always.

In the north where I come from, its a chippy tea at the end of the day

Dinner is just the larger meal of the day wherever you live.

If you have dinner in the middle of the day you have tea. If you have dinner at the end of the day you have lunch.

Avoid, like the plague, anyone who has supper…
