997 - Are the rear seats usefull?

Much as I love my 360 Modena (and I know a few of you don't!)
Having 2 small kids I only get to drive it to work and back.
At the weekend we end up in the family bus so I really ought to look at getting something that can take 2 small kids as well as myself and the wife.
With this in mind how usefull are the rear seats in a 997 for baby to 5 year olds.
Are there rear seats in both coupe and cabriolet forms?
Any Family users out there care to comment!

996 cab here... My girls (6&7) think the back seats are absolutely the business They each have their own, which also cuts down on arguements

They should be alright until your kids get to about ten years old...

Had no complaints ferrying 2 burly blokes in the back seats around Le Mans this year in a 997.

Can't see why you can't take a couple of kids in mucho comfort. They'd love it.

I can get a full sized suitcase on the back seats with them folded. Plenty of space up front too. I have a 993, I think the 997 has a bit more space.

I have a 2 year old and a 3 year old and again absolutely brilliant. and enough room in the front for the family shop!!!!

You wont be dissapointed in space or in performance.

The back seats of the 997 are extremely useful. Folded down you can get a suitcase in with ease. Handy as it won't fit in the front luggage compartment.

Space, now that's another matter in a C4.... There is none in the front as it's taken up by the FWD

Having said that, who really needs space

im 17, and me and my sister, (15), frequently sit in the back of the 996 turbo without any troubles at all, dont find it uncomfortable, plenty of room in the front aswell!

Have to confess I got a 996 C2 in part for the larger boot (4WD takes up a lot of space) ... got 2 yo who (a) loves the car and (b) fits nicely with space behind rear seats for a small buggy and ample space in boot for usual kids crap

My 8 and 6 year old love the back seats of the 997 - loads of room for them but they feel secure.

Bertie, I have just gone down that route, sold my 360 and ordered a 997 due to a new arrival. Is spent alot of time looking at a baby seat in the back and the was surprised by the amount of room in there. I have gone for a C4S and still think there is enough luggage space to make the car usable for weekends away.

I have two daughters, 3 and 5, and they love it in the back of my 996 C4 Cab. A 997 has a tiny bit more space in the back and a lot more space in the luggage compartment. So, no probs, go for it

I've just driven into work in the Ferrari and I love it sooo much I'm worried I'll miss it.
The other thought in the back of my mind is either a Maserati Quatropotre of wait unti 612 Scagliettis come to a more sensible level.
Give it another 6 months and I recok you'll see them around the £110k mark......

I know what you mean but all things are relative!

They're currently hovering around £140k, original new price circa £180k 6 months ago.

Saw a Quatroporte last week in Cork St - black and tan, looked amazing.
The Scaglietti at Goodwood was pretty amazing too.

I used the rear seats in my 911s right up until my lads were 9 and 10 years old. That was 5 years ago and they're now nearly 6ft tall so it's no longer an option ..
