Try using a cashpoint in the evening at weekends, they are more likely to dispense £5 notes than during the day.

Your bank should have them if it still has a counter. As a shopkeeper its something I need to have so always have around £500 in fivers in the safe. Some of the other shopkeepers around 'buy' them from me as it's easier than trotting down the bank.

Most banks let you do cash orders for specific denominations, although for £100 worth it should be fine just done over the counter.

Post office cash machines tend to have fivers in them but you’ll be lucky to get any more than 2 in a transaction.

Pay your cash bill via bank transfer/revolut?
Or pay them £60 a month and £50 the next?

When the polymer fivers came out, I kept every one I got. I must have about £500 sitting on my shelf ( stopped getting bigger once CV started ).

I'd like to open the bidding at £1000 for these now rare and highly sought after items !

There's an idea. Not heard 'cashback' since the 90's hehe Is it still a thing?
No idea. I believe Spar do it, but can't rememberwhen I last got cashback from anywhere.

I still have a couple of blue five pound notes at home, compared to modern notes they're huge!

Go to a Co-Op.
Buy something cheap
Pay with £20 note
Ask the cashier "can you please give me a couple of fivers in change".
Sorted for 3 months.

Sorted for 3 months. Cashier apologises for not having any fivers and dumps a load of shrapnel into my cupped hands.
Try asking nicely, works every time.

Does 5*£1 not work as £5 cash?

Very needy drug dealer. I'd be going elsewhere.

My local Post Office will give us a nice selection of notes when you draw cash.
