Welcome to your new runaround.

I'm seriously going to be thinking about this one, possibly my EV moment.

I really like that, especially on the white steelies!

Quite like the interior, quite dislike the exterior. I'm sure it'll be a fine city car.

Why does someone in the UK say "trash can"?

Life is full of questions...

Can't wait to see one of these in real life. Only downside is no dealer near me anymore. But the spec and price seem compelling.

Looks really appealing and good to see a choice of powertrains to keep both sides happy.

Love the steelies.

Me too. They looked good on the last Panda I got to use on a regular basis.

So I won't be having one of these.

Sent Fiat UK an email asking if it had a towing capacity and if a towbar could be configured and the reply I got was ask the local dealer!

If Fiat can't tell me what they've built think I'll pass.

They're utterly useless IME too - they couldn't tell me when orders open.

The base model hybrid 'Pop' spec has been shown. Black 16" steelies instead of 17" black/silver alloys, no roof bars, no big centre screen, and halogen headlights and rear lights instead of the LEDs. No bamboo dash storage on the passenger side either. No UK price but it's €18,900.

I think my ideal Panda would be all the spec on the inside with basic steel wheels and non metallic paint on the outside, probably red from the colour options. I think I'd still have the LED lights though. I'm not sure on the side protection option that spells PANDA.

You can down-spec the wheels apparently. I think the white ones look better than the black.

The offset 'FIAT' badge on the grille. It's making my toes curl

yes

As modern versions of old cars go, I think Fiat have done a really good job with this.

Ah right, I see. Understand now

Car as a package looks to be a winner

Prefer the Renault 5 retro offering personally

This version wasn't offered in UK. I think it had a 30bhp 650cc air cooled engine with only 2 pistons mounted long ways. Some interesting snippets in Wikipedia including a possible explanation for the one sided grill.

snippet said:
The engine bay was designed to accept either a transverse or longitudinal engine configuration: in practice, the simple sheet metal, body-colored, asymmetrical grille (derived during the design process by folding a piece of paper) was positioned either with its intake on the left for the air-cooled Panda 30 and on the right for the water-cooled Panda 45.
