“Unrelated third party”

My lease is up soon and been offered a great purchase price (3k below wbac valuation,7k below values of cars for sale in autotrader)
Now the car has to be sold to an unrelated third party.
Does this mean unrelated as in does not share a family name or unrelated to the lease deal,ie somebody who is not named on the lease?
