How is this possible that some mercedes e320 diesels are Ulez compliant? Around 2007-8 vintage .Is this just system error? I've checked few and some seems to be passing tfl Ulez check. I do fancy one of these old boats.

Highly likely to be an error.

I had a 2015 van, deffo not compliant- V5 was silent on emissions, as in nothing in the box. Default for ulez system is "we don't know what you are, so we assume bad, pay".

Default for the local Bristol/ Bath/ Glasgow is "we don't know you are sub Euro 6, so we won't assume you are".

Free in those, pay in London. And all around the data.

The only reason I can think is that they are imports and hence have no emissions data. Not sure there would be that many E320 diesels imported though.

I have a 2009 S211 (estate version) E280 CDI. It is the same 3 litre V6 turbo diesel but with a different state of tune. It's a UK car and definitely not ULEZ compliant.

My 08-plate CLK320CDI showed up as being ULEZ-compliant. I used to drive it into Central London and never had received any fines.
