Clio MK3 Blower Controller. Losing each speed

Anyone any pointers please ? Wife's 2006 Clio sits outside so the blowers get some user winter. Few weeks back the blowers stopped when on speed 1 but 2,3, and 4 were fine. Then we lost speed 4 and now have lost speed 2. So I'm working on the basis it's the controller speed knob or the connections toi it. Is that a safe assumption or is there anything else that might be ?

Usually blower motor resistor causes something similar.

This is quite a common problem IIRC, there should be guides on Youtube I would say.

That sounds exactly like the blower resistor.

As above, like the blower motor resistor, its normal to normally end up with max speed only as different circuits in the resistor fail but sometimes all of them die together.

I guess youtube will have a repair how to video somewhere!
